CHAWLA- A FLOURISHED JESHMINE
1988, A new film-heroine appears on the silver screen. With her innocent looks in 'Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak', she wins the heart of million. Her acting talent was just amazing, what helped her manage to impress the critics. Today even after having done about 50 films in 8 years, still she is able to draw millions of movie going people in to the cinema. The actress was born in Ludhiana, Punjab on 13th November, 1967. She was crowned Miss India in 1984. In the same year, she won the best costume award in Miss Universe Contest. And as it happens with all beauty pageant winners, the door of the Hindi film industry was flung open for her. So, in 1986 she joined the film industry to do the film 'Sultanat'. Juhi Chawla is one of the most versatile and beautiful actress the Bollywood has today. Ever since she made her real debut in 'Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak', there has been no looking back for Juhi. From this film, Aamir Khan and Juhi Chawla were heralded as the hottest romantic pair at the box office. Together they went on to do films like 'Tum Mere Ho', 'Love Love Love' etc. But unfortunately these films could not live up to the audience's expectations. And once again, Juhi Chawla's career floundered. And she went on doing eminently forgettable films like 'CID', 'Shaandaar', 'Sanam Bewaffa', 'Radha Ka Sangam', Juhi Chawla hit the hotspot with Dharmesh Darshan's 'Lootere' Then her second innings in Bollywood had begun. A series of hits like 'Bol Radha Bol', 'Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke', and 'Raju Ban Gaya Zentleman' shot her into the big league instantly. Suddenly she was being spoken in the same league as Sridevi and Madhuri Dixit. In 1994, she won the film fare award for 'Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke'. She earns some rupees 25-30 lakhs for each movie on these days. She has gained international recognition for her beauty and talent. She has launched her own production company with Shah Rukh Khan and Aziz Mirza- Dreamz Unlimited. Juhi's production company's first production 'Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani' was not a rage at ticket window, although it was a much talked about film. Juhi Chawla gave birth to a bonny baby girl on 21st February, 2001, at 6.30 p.m. at the Breach Candy Hospital. Juhi have named their daughter Jhanvi. As five feet four inches, with slight built, fair complexion, and fairytale good looks, she was the ideal candidate for the Hindi film heroine. Today Juhi Chawla is busy planning for her next production. In the twilight zone of her acting career, she is now interested in doing only those films that offers her the extra satisfaction
