Of late, Akshay Kumar has been giving Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan a good run for their money. He's been running the race pretty arduously and is now fast closing in on the two Khans. So, obviously, the next step in his career is clear. If Salman Khan can do an upcoming reality show on Sony and SRK can do Kya Aap Paanchvi Paas Se Tez Hain?, can Akshay Kumar be far behind? Come August, Akshay too will join the fray. He has been roped in to do the reality show Fear Factor for Endemol. What's more, according to a reliable source in the TV industry, "Akshay will be paid Rs 1.5 crore per episode, which is more than what SRK is getting for Kya Aap Paanchvi Paas Se Tez Hain?" Incidentally Sallu has been booked for Rs 89 crore for 104 episodes. So far, we've been hearing about his big film deals, now there's confirmation that he may yet overtake the Khan in price. Akshay has given his nod to this action show which will require a lot of nerve. Our source adds, "In fact, Akki is extremely kicked about the whole thing, since Fear Factor is all about daredevilry and Akki simply loves all that. Things will start rolling in a month." We hear that Akshay will be accompanied by 13 Bollywood actresses. Actresses like Hrishita Bhatt, Neha Dhupia and a few others have been approached for the same. "The girls are yet to be decided. Akshay is confirmed, though. It's a show on how ordinary people have performed the most extraordinary stunts. Their story on how they have conquered fear. What better choice than Akshay who is the best action hero on Bollywood circuit and enjoys huge mass following," our source further says. When contacted, Hrishita confirmed that she had been offered the Akshay Kumar show but said, "I might not do it. I have problems on the allotment of dates, so let's see how it goes." Neha, who has in fact just completed Singh is Kingg with Akshay, too
confirmed that she had been offered Fear Factor with Akshay. She said,
"I love doing brave and tough stuff. So, I would like to do Fear
Factor. However, I haven't yet signed on the dotted line, so it will be
presumptuous of me to say that I am on board."
