A
Superstar, A Miss Universe, an extremely successful choreographer-turned-director,
two of the music world's biggest names and a cassette company that really
matters. Put all these together and what you get is a film called 'Main
Hoon Na'. This catchy words symbolised that eternal meaning of this
movie that "Main Hoon Na, ab chinta ki koi baat nehin hain'.
One of Bollywood's best Choreographers, Farah Khan turns director with
her debut film "Main Ho Na". And she has every reason to be
ecstatic about the film. The film hero is none other than the king Khan,
Shahrukh, who also happens to be Farah's favourite hero. Shahrukh will
be seen along with co-stars Suniel Shetty, Sushmita Sen, Zayed Khan and
Amrita Rao etc. In an excerpt from an Interview Shahrukh claimed"
...but Sushmita is the nicest thing in the film. It was a pleasure working
with her.". Yes, this film will have all the typical bollywood masala.
'Main Hoon Na' is on the news for long time for many reasons. It is ace
choreographer Farah Khan's first directorial venture. It has got Shah
Rukh in the lead along with Sunil Shetty, Nasirudeen Shah, Sushmita Sen
and Amrita Rao. Aish barely missed a chance to board this wagon cuz' of
some chaos created by Salman. The movie has music by Anu Malik and produced
by Gauri Khan (wife of Shahrukh Khan) in the banner of Red Chillies Entertainment
and Venus.
Major Ram Prasad Sharma (Shahrukh Khan) yearns to see the ambitious project
Mission Milaap become a reality. A mission that will prove to be the dawn
of a new tomorrow! Where long standing enmity between two countries will
begin to see its end. But some forces do not want that dawn to come. One
of them is Raghavan (Sunil Shetty) who will do anything to prevent the
strategic move. For this reason his devious shadow looms large over General
Amerjeet Bakshi's daughter Sanjana (Amrita Rao) , whose life is in danger.
Every drop of Ram Prasad's blood glistens with the shine of pride for
his country and he will not allow dark actions to create an eclipse in
its bright future. To protect Sanjana, he goes to her school as a student
indeed 'Back to School'! Here fun and frolic conceal his real intent.
In
his school he meets
Lucky a.k.a. Laxman (Zayed Khan) naughty as he is yet there is an air
of innocence about him. Ram develops an instant affection for Lucky just
like and showers love on him just like an elder brother.
Sanjana (Amrita Rao) mischievous and totally unmanageable, she loves Lucky
but has so far been able to hide it from everyone but not from Ram.
Chandni (Sushmita Sen) she is the young and pretty chemistry teacher with
whom Ram is trying to balance the equation of love.
Professor Raghavan (Suniel Shetty) he teaches Physics and he is not the
one who others suppose him to be.
Madhu Sharma (Kirron Kher) Lucky's selfless and giving mother in whom
Ram sees glimpse of his own mother.
Ram has two important missions to accomplish one for his country and the
other to fulfill his dead father's wish.
Who is Madhu Sharma and how is she related to Ram?
What were Brigadier Shekhar Sharma's last words to his son?
Will Raghavan's sinister plans work out?
Will Major Ram accomplish the two missions?
Will anyone here guess that he has just lit funeral pyre of his martyr
father Brigadier Shekhar Sharma (Naseeruddin Shah)?
The ashes have emerged but the fire has not subsided. For he has to fulfill
his fathers last wish. Strangely, the fulfillment of his wish also lies
in this very school
completing this mission will be no easy task.
For it involves intense emotions and long - standing misunderstandings.
These two missions are now his life-blood. The weapon of one mission is
Gun and that of the other is Love. But the road to both is that of Truth.
The only option is victory. The only man is Ram Prasad Sharma. And the
only mantra is Main Hoon Na!
Enjoy the movie 'Main Hoon Na' coming in cinema halls very soon.
Anu
Malik composes music in the R.D.Burman format and Javed Akhtar pens the
lyrics. Anu & Javed have come together to create same foot-tapping
yet melodious tunes.
'Main Hoo Na' seems to follow the current trend where Indo-Pak relations
have become the chief concern of a lot of filmmakers. the film is formulated
as a mission film. Of course it's loaded with dollops of fun, humor, romance,
action and emotions as well. In Bollywood slang - a complete masala film!
