Riya Sen - Petite beauty!

gorgeous daughter of Bengali actress Moon Moon Sen first stepped under
the arc lamps at the tender age of 15 when she faced the camera for the
famous Tamil flick "Taj Mahal", directed by Bharati Raja.
She was
supposed to make her Bollywood debut opposite Akshay Khanna in Kailash
Surendranath's "Love You Hamesha" but unfortunately the film
could not hit the turnstiles owing to differences between the producer
and distributors.

considerable number of music videos including Jagjit Singh-Asha Bhosle's
's "Jab Samne Tum" and "Kahin Kahin Se".

Raima
Sen- Serene Beauty
Being the daughter of Moon Moon Sen and granddaughter of stalwart actress
of the yesteryears Suchitra Sen, Raima Sen has immense expectations and
responsibility on her shoulders. And this petite damsel handles it with
absolute finesse. Apart from that, she also has tough competition from
her talented and beautiful sister Riya Sen.
But she
has no qualms about it, "She does her own thing and I do mine",
she says. "We get along very well and every night we always discuss
the happenings of the day," she adds. This movie freak has only
one ambition ...that of becoming an actress. On being asked about her
passion for cinema, pat comes the reply," I was always inclined
towards acting as I used to accompany my mother to shootings."
She is
aware of the expectations people have from her and so she has been very
particular in choosing her roles. Raima adores her grandmother, from
whom she has lots to learn and inspiration to draw. Raima's admiration
for her grandma comes due to the strength and courage she had to do
whatever she wanted in life.
The first opportunity to act came when she was in First Year B.A. and
since then she has ever looked back. She has done major ad campaigns
in the past like Boroplus, Sunsilk, Horlicks and Today's pens. But right
now she is concentrating on her acting career and she is going great
guns at that. Her debut performance in 'Godmother' has won her a lot
of accolades.
She recalls
her experience while shooting for the film and has some fond memories
of it. "I was so nervous on the first day of the shoot, but Shabana
Azmi made me feel absolutely comfortable. She's a great actress and
I had a lot to learn from her," she says. So, it doesn't come as
a surprise to know that her favourite movie of all time is the Shabana
Azmi starrer, 'Masoom'. Tears welled up in her eyes when she first saw
it and they still do.
Apart
from Godmother, she has also done Kalpana Lajmi's 'Daman' and a Bengali
film called 'Moina'. Her current projects involve a music video for
singer Bali Bramhabhatt with Milind Soman and a Bengali film with director
Rituparna Ghosh which is based on a book written by Rabindranath Tagore
called 'Choker Bali'.
She balances her acting and modelling career very well with her studies.
She is currently pursuing her B A from Calcutta University and she shuttles
very often between Mumbai and Calcutta. Studies are a priority for her
and she plans to be at least a graduate. She says that inspite of the
celebrity status that her family enjoys; she and Riya were always exhorted
to follow academics regularly. Her parents always felt that a strong
academic background is absolutely imperative for success.
This pretty
young thing has a skin care regime that consists of washing her face
with a face wash twice a day (morning and night), drinking a lot of
water and moisturising her face either before sleeping in the night
or in the morning. She takes care of her beautiful, shining 'Sunsilk'
hair by washing it at least twice a week, oiling it once a week and
going for a deep conditioning treatment once in two weeks. She jogs
everyday for ½ hour to keep herself fit.
