''The
release of KAANTE, the much-awaited Rs. 40-Crores production, has
once again been postpond. The Film was expected to open in theatres on
December, 13. Production house Pritish Nandy Communications' (PNC) chairman
Pritish Nandy said that the launch date had been rescheduled for December,
20 but even this was tentative. The negative, being processed by Photochem
in Los Angles, has not yet been shipped to Mumbai and the technical glitches
have been delaying the release of the film." |

The
story is based on a Bank Robbery. Six men all they are Indian, and their
mental set up is different. But their intentions is the same, all they
are joined together. Who are they? they are Major (Amitabh), Ajju (Sanjay
Dutt), Marc Isaak (Suniel Shetty), Andy (Kumar Gaurav), Baali (Mahesh
Manjrekar) and Mak (Lucky Ali). They all need money "Paisa woh
cheez hai, jiska sabko jarurrat parta hain, yeha se bachhkar kahan jayoge".
They identify the target -- the Service Bank.

Here
the six lead actors are Amitabh
Bachhan, Sanjay Dutt, Sunil Shetty, Kumar Gaurav, Lucky Ali, and
Mahesh Manjrekar.
First of all "Superstar of the Millennium" Mr. Amitabh Bachhan
is undoubtedly one of the most renowned actor in the Bollywood film firmament
as well as world today, and his career is used as a benchmark along which
many young artistes model their own. Mr. Bachhan's magnificint, magical,
masterpiece acting have refused to age with the passage of time. His greatest
strength have been his versatality, superb timing, and his baritone voice.
Then Sanju (Sanjay Dutt) is quite natural, and he is well fitted in this
film. His pose posture and timing is superb. Sometimes we feel that he can
also do this in his real life. Basically the film is presents some enigma,
everything happened under some enigma. After that little spoken Sunil Shetty,
he is well adoptable, and specially sunil is made for this type of role.
Veteran Jubilee Star Late Ranjendra kumar's son Kumar Gaurav raised his
spirit in his early stage of life, do some romantic film, but at present
he cannot leave his shoe, because we know 'every shoe fit not every foot'.
 He
is not good at all. But he is the only gainer in this film. Comic legend
Mehmood's son Lucky Ali done his job so so. He is a good composer and singer
may be, but acting the less said the better. Special mention has to be made
for newcommer Mahesh Manjerekar, who is generally a film director but in
this film he proved that acting in his vein. I think many people remembered
mahesh, in so many days, as his acting capability, that flourished in this
very film. All the actors are spontaneous, specially mahesh, sanjay and all they are co-ordinate very well. Anand Raj Anand's music is very catchy and haunting. The musical Anand did their job very well. But one thing is quite unnatural, that i personally feel, in western location why director used such panjabi lyrics based hindi songs . From the all songs I preferred only the song like "Ishq samanddar" "Rama re" & "Yah mangasai". Most of the lyrics have been given in Panjabi and the Cinematography is dazzling. Dialogues & Screenplay are sometimes very comic and sometimes very fearful and that is well accepted at every places. The sets, outfits and the overall look is fantastic like not all other hindi films, but here U.S.A is the outdoor location where shooted the film. Costumes and finery are exquisite, but sometimes very adultry. |

the First-half the story is with action, romance , comic role etc. and the
interval point sound of heavey blow, guns, bombs raises. Moreover, the Second-half
is more more action. Some suspense, tragedy, at last ........ Listen, weak hearted people don't go and watch the film. |
| On the whole, 'kaante' is the film for people who want to see a typical hollywood based film in a hindi format. Before the Christmas eve it may be beneficial for the pictures goers. |

Six
men with one goal and a common characteristic, that they can never bring
themselves to trust someone, realise that one of them is a traitor, an
informant. Who? Why? And what do the other five do about it? That is the
main story of the Kaante. Here involvement is great question? Major is
involved with his sick wife, Mark is involved with his girl-friend, Andy
is involved with his wife, and so on.
