Thought-provoking Film: If you are ambitious, if you have dreams, India is the place for you – today, but it wasn’t like this always. After Independence we were a huge and young nation, where abstinence was respectable, ambition was not.

Where society took precedence over the individual. Today we have moved from left of centre to the right. When did this happen? How did this happen? Or did it happen in front of us and we couldn’t see it?

‘Guru’ is a writing of that time, of those decades during which India changed, slowly but surely and the mirror for that change is the life of one man – GuruKant Desai who is the protagonist of the film, which Abhishek play.

Guru: It’s the life story of this 1 character. We meet him at the age from 15-16 till the end. ‘Guru’ is about a dream, a dream that to believe the majority of our Country. A special story of that 1 character who makes his dream into a reality

'Guru' is one of the rare occasions when Mani, Rahman & Gulzar have come together. Loosely based on the life of Reliance founder Dhirubhai Ambani, in the film Abhisekh playing the role of the late business icon, but is there no official confirmation.
